Luncheon and Workshops on Conflict Mediation

Experience for yourself how the principles of conflict mediation can help you talk through polarizing issues in ways that revive curiosity and advance understanding.

During lunch, author Amanda Ripley will join a panel of local and national experts who have seen these principles at work in politics, journalism, religion and social justice. Afterward audiences will attend facilitator-led workshops offering practical techniques that participants can take and use immediately. These workshops will be tailored to each specific group’s role in public life. In the afternoon, workshops will merge and participants will reconvene to discuss their findings.

Please self-identify during registration as to which workshop you wish to attend. Workshop groups are as follows:

  • Concerned citizens
  • Civic and business leaders
  • Public officials
  • Media professionals
  • Students
