About this Event
1928 Selwyn Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28274
In April 2024, a local Charlotte physician, Dr. Azeem Elahi, risked his life to provide urgent medical care to injured civilians at the European Hospital in the Gaza Strip. In this lecture, Dr. Elahi will speak about his arduous journey crossing the border into Rafah, the cases he treated, and the people he met along the way. His story brings a local perspective to this global crisis and highlights the critical role that health care professionals can play in helping those who are most vulnerable – displaced children and civilians.
