Food For Thought: Navigating Decision Making in Virtual Meetings and Communications

Dr. Greg Berka will lead a discussion about our communication and behaviors in virtual meetings in conjunction with the decisions made during the meetings. He will examine virtual meeting dynamics and consider a variety of biases that may influence your individual and group decisions.

Dr. Berka is a professor of management in the McColl School of Business undergraduate, MBA, and MS in Organization Development programs. He teaches courses in creativity and innovation, organizational behavior, and organization development. His research interests focus on understanding how employees experience feelings of inclusion and exclusion and how organizations can help foster creativity and intellectual curiosity for all employees.

He spent two years in public accounting, as a CPA, for McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, worked in real estate sales, investment and property management, and spent nine years in an array of finance roles at Wells Fargo, Wachovia and First Union before earning his Ph.D. to pursue his passion for teaching.
