In this improvisational ensemble, students experience various improvisational techniques and engage in active music making with each other. Come hear the students in the ensemble explore improvisation using voice, cello, French horn, bass, guitars, hand-held percussion instruments, Orff instruments, and body percussion, and… water bottles! This performance will also include an Arts at Queens collaboration featuring the video ‘Reactions’ in which students responded creatively to a poem by Ada Limón. Ensemble members include Natasha Deabreu, Teresa Dominguez, Corey Earwood, Jennifer Heyn, Riley McElveen, Julie Melton, Vanessa Merced, Ciyetzi Morales, Molli Smith, Gabriela Warren y Vigil, and Donte Washington, under the direction of Dr. Varvara Pasiali.
