Lunch & Learn-Arts Activism: Center Stage with L'Monique
This engaging session was born of the marriage between arts and activism. Poet, Author and Arts Activist L’Monique King places activism center stage through the lens of art with an emphasis on Spoken Word. With this power session, attendees can look forward to seeing just how art and activism collide to create resonating change; historically, currently and in the very near future. The impact of Spoken Word, along with other mediums (e.g., Narrative Literature, Music and Visual Arts) will be explored while Ms. King utilizes multimedia, powerful images, and personal performance to captivate and “edutain” artists, activists, and the curious minds of today and tomorrow.
