Morri Creech Poetry Reading

The English Department is proud to present Morri Creech, who will read from The Sentence, his newly released poetry collection. In this book, Creech interrogates our daily lives and experiences to examine the anxieties and despair that often attend our awareness of mortality. He is writer in residence at Queens and author of four other collections of poetry, including The Sleep of Reason, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, and Blue Rooms. For his work, he has been awarded a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship and the Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize.
