Philharmonix: The Vienna Berlin Music Club

The music ensemble Philharmonix: The Vienna Berlin Music Club will perform a lively mix of classical, jazz, klezmer, Latin and pop music “with a dash of pure musical passion.” Philharmonix brings together three members of the Vienna Philharmonic, two Berlin Philharmonic soloists, an Austrian pianist and a singing violinist for a rollicking musical feast. Their unique style is summed up in their golden rule: “Anything goes, as long as it’s fun.” Their concerts are infused with humor and spontaneity, allowing them to move seamlessly from the sublime to the ridiculous and back, taking their audience along for the ride.

The members of the ensemble come together only when they are inspired by a new musical idea. That, they say, is how they capture the “you had to be there” effect, which turns a casual audience member into a passionate fan.

This performance is presented by the Charlotte Concerts Legacy Fund.
