What happens when a Miss America pageant contestant, an ultra-conservative senator's aide and a bleeding-heart liberal blogger converage in a hotel room? Nothing short of hilliarious, raucous, tête-à-têtes that lead to a semi-historically-accurate ether trip. The Taming  by Lauren Gunderson provides an entertaining civics lesson that does not play partisan politics. This all female "power-play," which draws some inspiration from Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, is a laugh riot with some timely food for thought.
