TWIST Community Kick Off Breakfast

This year's TWIST community kick off breakfast features Carson Tate, MSOD, author and consultant.

Recognized as a thought leader in personal productivity and team effectiveness, Tate is an advocate for creating workplaces that are fulfilling, engaging and profitable. Although there is a collective awareness around the value of employee engagement, companies spend approximately $720 million per year on employee engagement initiatives, yet 66% of the United States workforce is still not engaged according to Gallup’s 2018 State of the American Workplace report. This means 6 out of your 10 colleagues, and maybe even you, experience the “Sunday night scaries”, dread Monday morning and count down the days until the weekend.

In her upcoming book, You Don’t Have to Quit: Find Fulfillment and Engagement at Work, Carson explores why so many of us are disengaged, and how we can make a living and a life. Based on her research, client work and own personal journey, Tate will share how resiliency and understanding the employer-employee social contract enables us all to find fulfillment in our professional lives.

Tate advises and coaches executives at Fortune 500 companies including AbbVie, Deloitte, Delta, EY, FedEx, Synchrony and Wells Fargo. The author of Work Simply: Embracing the Power of Your Personal Productivity Style (Penguin Portfolio, 2015), her views have been included in top-tier business media including Bloomberg Businessweek, Business Insider, CBS Money Watch, Fast Company, Forbes, Harvard Business Review blog, The New York Times, USA Today, Working Mother and more.
